DJ Fishfonics makes dancing at the local bars more fun than ever!

Dropping all the sickest hip hop & dance beats last night at the Leucadian in North County, Fishfonics had the bar feeling more like a sweatshop everybody was getting so hot from dancing.

By the end of the night girls were having trouble keeping their jeans up, they were getting so low. If you don't live downtown, & your looking for a fun place to get your groove on mid week, Thursday nights at the Leau is where it's at! Be sure to hit the dance floor this Saturday January 22nd at Dst Bar & Grill for the re-opening of the Dst dance floor headlined by Fish! Oh yeaaaaa!

GET YOUR DANCE ON AT "DIRTY MONDAY" SALOON ENCINITAS!

One of north county's little secrets is found on Monday nights at the Saloon in Encinitas. The miraculous and always sexy Dj Gabe Vega drops music by artist such as Crystal Castles, Passion Pit, and Santigold, keeping things flowing, and bodies moving. Interestingly dubbed "Dirty Monday", it's one of my favorite places to sit back, enjoy the show and do a little two step! I came to the conclusion that the name came along because of the dirty guys who gather here. Long greasy hair, cheap knit beanies, and lots of leather can be found on these boys. And for some reason, the ladies love 'em (even when they're buying the guys their drinks)!

FLUXX SD can now add the "New Club of the Year" award onto their mantle of remarkable achievements. The downtown San Diego night club beat out nearly 150 impressive new club venues from through out the country in places such as New York, Miami, & LA for the baddest title in nightlife: "NEW CLUB OF THE YEAR" for 2011. It couldn't be a better time to be a San Diego resident, as apparently the hottest night club in the U.S. is in our own back yard!! A source close to the club, told Boom Box the FLUXX dancers specifically spend nearly 5-8 hours a week rehearsing dance routines, so they can perform at their best ability for the floor audience. And OMG they never miss a beat! For those of you who haven't been to FLUXX ( which the only reason should be because you have been sitting under a rock) the dance numbers for these stage performers aren't your average "Go Go pop lock and dropping dance move". Being a dancer at FLUXX require's, strength , agility & balance as the majority of the girls performances are trapeze inspired entertainment. Encinitas Ca, DST BAR & GRILL is now open for DANCING

Encinitas Ca, hallau-fn-luya their is a God! Dst Bar & Grill of downtown Encinitas is back in business, meaning they can now burn that ridiculous and uncomfortable front door sign that reads, "No Dancing Allowed". The established beach town hotspot got their dancing license back in October, getting everything back and running in December of last year. Since then customers of the bar have been throwing back drinks and two steps to the beats of satellite radio installed in the restaurants sounds system. However, Saturday January 22 that's going to changed when Dst welcomes back Dj's to play for an open dance floor. The eventful night will be headlined by none other than DJ FishFonic's. Word has it the Saturday night gig could be extended to the Encinitas Dj indefinitely. "I couldn't think of a more deserving Dj than Erik Fish considering he has been spinning in Encinitas for years now, and ever since has left quite an impression." stated an Encinitas bar hopper. Many Encinitas local's, such as Miss Encinitas herself ( creator of boomboxdancers, Tania Milberg ) became very emotional when she received the good news. " I called everyone. My friends, my parent's, aunts, uncles, cousins, everyone!" stated the former beauty contestant. So grab your high tops and most comfortable pair of dance pumps ladies because the tables are turning out and away for the dance floor here to stay! ARE YOU EXCITED DST HAS DANCING ONCE AGAIN? MIRROR ON THE WALL, WHO'S THE BETTER DANCER OF THEM ALL?

Who dances in front of the mirror anymore? Is it just me or does it seem like the 'you can only do alone with the door locked hobby' is dying out? I hope not! After all isn't dancing in the mirror the best way to rehearse our dance moves. I love dancing in the mirror, it's a great hobby, I highly recommend it! Last night I stayed up surfing through youtube videos of people dancing in front of there mirror at home. I saw all kinds of moves being busted. Some good, some bad, and some very POW POW POW, if you know what I mean. I saw girls with train & cabooses doing the "DUN DUN DUN DUNNN!" I thought my computer screen was going to explode. Along the top notch pop lock and dropping, I encountered some internet crypt walking, gypsy belly dancing while other's clearly came back from watching Black Swan as their toes stayed more pointed than the needle nose of my next door neighbor. Some danced in booty shorts & braw's while other's danced in sweatpants and t-shirts. Regardless of what they were wearing, watching them get down was quite the entertainment. GONE WITH THE BOOTS, GONE WITH THE "Go-Go"

Is it just me or is the term "Go Go Dancer" played out. To me it carry's an old school jute box, dancing on a pole ring to it wouldn't you say?! I mean come on, the title sounds so 1960's, as it was originally given to entertainers of that time who were employed to entertain crowds at a discotheque. That's DISCO-TECH, if it appeared nearly as confusing to you as it did me. OK, I think it's time we give the profession a more hip and sexy title, I mean come on its not like we're in peppermint lounge's doing "the twist". Go Go dancers most certainly don't wear those clunky platform Go Go BOOTS anymore. I say, gone with the Go Go Boots, and gone with the Go Go! According to Webster's Dictionary, Go Go Dancer" means "Dancer of the Devil". Wow no that's a title! To be honest I was surprised Webster even found the time to define what it means to be 'GoGo'. Other sources refer 'Go Go' as night club dancer of abundance, galore. Ha, now that's more like it! It derives from the phrase "go-go-go" for a high-energy person, which in turn is derived from the ancient French word la gogue for "joy, happiness" Here are few of the dancing professions who's title's have slightly changed over the years: The "Street Dancer" is now called none other than the " Break Dancer". The "Moonwalker" is now formally known as the "Electric Slider". And a "Two Stepper" is now called a "Crypt Walker" I mean hey, even strippers got new more appropriate titles specific to what their tasks entail; either "Nude Dancer" or "Top Less Dancers". So after some serious brainstorming here are the following titles I believe are best as the new name for a "Go Go Dancer" : 1) night club dancer 2) booty dancer 3) joy dancer 4) coyote dancer ( that one was inspired by Coyote Ugly the movie) 5) body dancer 7) step dancer 8) performance dancer 9) hey even "cage" dancer is fine by me! Anything but GO GO pleeeeaaaazzzee! WHAT DO YOU THINK WOULD MAKE GOOD NAME TO REPLACE THE "GO GO" IN GO GO DANCER?

The Fist Pump

Don't get caught lookin' like a wannabe on the dance floor. You gotta learn the fist pump (aka The Guido Punch and The Guido Pump). All you gotta do is clench your fist, flex your arm and bring your fist toward your shoulder. Then extend the fist away from your body in a punching fashion in different angles. Keep repeating. You get extra points if you get your other Guido buds to form a circle and pound it out on the floor to the techno sounds while you "beat up the beat." Then rise to join your Guidette. What your feet are doing isn't as important as the fist pump. And if you can grind on a Guidette while performing the fist pump in time to the music, you're a master.

Be careful, I might taunt you with my dancing!

OK, since the beginning of time, even cave men danced. I can't imagine a more original way for a person to express excitement than with a dance or two- step celebration. It's a universal language that for the most part all culture's accept and understand. Especially in the world of sports, because it's athletes that are the next best dancers of the world because their agility, balance & flexibility. Which why we don't understand why football will no longer permit endzone touchdown line dance's. In American football, where it's most common recognized, they refer to it as 'touchdown celebrations'. In 2006 the NFL, in an effort to cut down on celebrations, amended its rules to include an automatic 15 yard penalty against any player who leaves his feet or uses a prop, like a towel, or more specifically the football. The penalty is called as "excessive celebration". Taunting and extreme celebration are both offenses in the NFL as a result, gaudy displays are often frowned upon. If the league views the act as highly offensive, large fines and even suspensions can be issued. However simply spiking the call is not considered "excessive celebration". Jumping onto the outer wall to accept contact from fans, such as a leap is also not considered such, as it is off the field of play. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHT ON THIS RULE? WE WANT TO KNOW
