Dancer of the Week: Ryan Ramirez dance Shark

In the world on hip-hop and break dance, local dance studio's in North County would not be as prominent today, if it wasn't for dance teachers like Ryan Ramirez.

The San Diego native, and Encinitas local has inspired young dancers through his forcefully danced & aggressively taught classes commonly taught at 429 Dance Studio, in Encinitas Ca.

As a result, more and more Encinitas dance studio's are filling up with aspiring student dancers, eager to collaborate with Ramirez. Teaching dancers of all ages, college & high school students, to mini boppers as young as four, Ryan has permanently replaced the meaning of what it means to be a traditional dance teacher.

The break dancer is also a member of one of San Diego's most established dance crews called "Uncomfortably Fresh". During his leisure time, the performer enjoys to organize dance fundraisers and events for low income San Diego dance studio's.

February 12, the 24 yr old will be conducting a dance competition at the Encinitas YMCA with entry fee of $5 to raise money for kids in the Encinitas dance community. We sat down with the performer to find out how dancing became a significant part of his life.

1) Ryan, how & when did you get into dance? I got into dance my junoir year in high school when I was 17 years old. I had a lot of dancers friends that did regular hip hop but it didnt catch my eye. Then I saw one of my fiends brother break dancing at a practice and i was hooked from then on.

2) What are your favorite style of dance do dance personally? In order are Break Dancing, Hip Hop, House, Salsa, Lyrical

3) You are a very experienced break dancer, a very
challenging form of dance? How long did it take you to learn?
It is very challenging. I've been dancing for 7 years now and Im still learning to this day. Theres so many moves out there to keep you busy.

4) How many hours a week do you spend dancing? It really depends on my scedule but im usually getting at least 6-8hrs a week.

5) What types of style music are your favorite to dance to?
Original Hip Hop, Funk, House, anything latin, and pretty much really anything. I love all types of music. A true dancer can dance to anything.

6) Do you practice dance in the mirror at home? Yes I do. I have closet mirrors so when im bored I start practicing.

7) Are there any particular dancers in the media you admire? JabbaWockees, Poreotics

8) Do you watch dance shows like "America's Best Dance Crew, Dancing
with the Stars, or Do you think you can Dance?"
I'll only watch these shows if my friends our on them.

9) What advice to you have for young dancers who hope to become "experienced"? To always stay focused and just have fun at what you do. Dance in a art form so dance your dance.

Dance Icon Chris Brown Breaks a Window after Interview on Good Morning America

Shortly after news broke that Chris Brown had stormed out of ABC News' Times Square studios following an appearance on "Good Morning America," a rep for ABC released a statement to MTV News defending their interview, during which host Robin Roberts asked Brown about his 2009 assault of Rihanna and its consequences.

"As always, we ask questions that are relevant and newsworthy," the rep said in the statement. "And that's what we did in this interview with Mr. Brown."

With varying reports surfacing after the incident, Roberts took to her Twitter account to react to Brown's outburst, writing, "Sure has been an interesting AM @GMA. Still sorting thru everything myself. Just my 2nd day on twitter, wonder what tomorrow will bring?"

Sources tell E! News that the star "went ballistic" shortly after the interview wrapped. He started cursing and throwing furniture, making show staffers "feel scared."

"He went ballistic, absolutely ballistic," the source explained. "After Robin got a lot of criticism for [not pressing] Tiger [Woods], she pressed him. She was concerned after she was slammed for that. Chris thought he'd be asked one question, not pressed on it. They say, 'We'll ask you one Rihanna question,' but she kept asking follow-ups. He got off and went crazy.

"He smashed a chair into a window and that glass is so thick, people heard shattering and security was called," the source added. "It was to the point where people were scared. The question is now how ABC will report it."

Sources tell People a similar story, with an eyewitness adding, "He was visibly upset and appeared livid after the interview."

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW!!! Boom Box Dancer of the week FLUXX HEADLINE DANCER CHLOE NEVERMORE (HEMMAT)!!!!!!!

Chloe Nevermore is one of San Diego's, most established dancers, although many would argue she might be one of the best on the west coast. Her curvaceous and perfectly toned physique has a look only all dancers dream about. Today, Nevermore is the lead performer at San Diego's most renowned night club FLUXX, where she dances in front of nearly 500 club goers a night.

This charismatic and dedicated entertainer is not your average dancer, as the majority of her performances include her dancing 'static trapeze'. Swinging from ropes and metal bars hung above the dance floor as high up as 25 feet is an act the dancer makes look effortless. We sat down with the performer to get the scoop on how dancing came a major part of her life.

1) Chloe, how & when did you get into dance?
Dance has always been a part of my life. As a little girl I took jazz class and gymnastics. In high school I was on a dance team and then after high school I missed dance so much that I went to a few auditions. I didnt know what a "gogo" dancer was at the time...All I knew is that it was at a nightclub, it paid well and was fun. After a couple auditions I was hired and started dancing once or twice a week.

2) What are your favorite style of dance to dance? ( Sorry if that question sounds confusing, I'm basically asking what style type dancing is your favorite to do?)
I like to free-style. I don't have a specific style.

3) Trapeze is a very challenging form of dance? How long did it take you to learn?
Some aerial hoop and silks tricks were easy to pick up on...others I'm still trying to learn.

4) How many hours a week do you spend dancing?
5-8hours

5) How do you prepare before a performance?
At FLUXX we do shows and practice times can be anywhere from 2 hours twice a week.

6) How do you keep your physique in top shape? Do you workout, outside of when your on the job?
Yes, I hate the gym though, even though I don't like going to the gym sometimes I feel like I have to so I will go once or twice a week. I love to hike! and on occasion I will go to bikrams yoga. I like outdoor activity, taking my dog to the dog beach or dog park and running around with them. Going on jogs in La Jolla or through Sea Port Village are fun too. So I do a lot of cardio. I try to do an ab workout once a week.

7) You are currently San Diego's lead headline dance performer at FLUXX San Diego. What is that like?
FLUXX is the most amazing club I have ever worked at (sorry other venues)...The main reason for this is because of the staff. Surrounding myself with amazing people really helps me be the best I can be. We are a close family at FLUXX :)

8) What types of style music are your favorite to dance to?
I love dub-step but I rarely get it. My favorite DJ's to dance to are DJ Sid Viscous and DJ Cobra. House and hip hop mixed with a little top 40.

9) Do you dance in the mirror at home?
No. Haha

10) Are there any particular dancers in the media you admire? CIARA! also Justin Timberlake & Usher cause sex appeal is everything!

11) Do you watch dance shows like "America's Best Dance Crew, Dancing with the Stars, or Do you think you can Dance?"
When I come across it on TV I will watch for a minute... but I rarley watch TV. I have a few specific shows I LOVE "true blood" and "the office" so I mostly try to catch those.

12) What are your thoughts on the term "Go-Go" dancer?
I don't consider myself or any of my FLUXX dancers "gogo's" because I believe that we are so much more. We do shows, skits, aerial work and more. My style isn't anything like what I would say is "gogo"

13) When you aren't dancing, how do you spend your leisure time? I love to spend time with my Fiance. We love to travel and spend time with our dogs! I spend a lot of time with my family and friends too :)

14) What advice do you have for dancers who hope to explore the sport as a career?
If you think you have what it takes then pursue it! If you don't have what it takes then work at it until you do or purse another job:) I personally don't think the type of dancing I do is a long term career. I love it so much and it's hard to say that. I would like to move onto management after dancing. That wont be for a very long time but when that time comes that I quit dancing I would love to be a manager. I have a clothing line "Tainted Entropy" and that is also a big part of my life.

Kendra Wilkinson Will Put Her ‘Money Maker’ To Good Use On ‘Dancing with the Stars'

LOS ANGELES, California. Reality personality Kendra Wilkinson knows her strengths and the former Playboy model plans to put her assets to good use during her new gig on Season 12 of “Dancing with the Stars,” which premieres on Monday.

“Kendra is going to use her money maker — well, she has a few body parts that are money makers, “ Kendra’s pro partner, Louis Van Amstel, told Access Hollywood of their competition strategy at the pair’s rehearsal in LA on Thursday. “So we’re deciding that the derriere is going to start first.”

“That’s cool with me,” Kendra added. “Everybody knows my ‘Go, Kendra’ dance, my booty shake and stuff… we’ll definitely add it in. But it’s going to be a little bit cleaned up!”
As for Kendra’s “Dancing” support system, the bubbly new mom said her husband, NFL star Hank Baskett, is her biggest and toughest! fan.

“Hank thinks it’s awesome that I’m on the show he’s my number one support,” Kendra raved. “Him and my little son. They’re my support and every time I get done with practice, I go home and I teach him and it’s like a family thing now.

“My son actually gets involved. Actually, he has that jealous thing now he goes, ‘Stay away!’ He gets jealous ‘cause, you know, I’m… his girlfriend,” she laughed.

“Kendra’s husband almost acts like her coach actually,” Louie interjected. “He’s like, ‘You better go all out. If you don’t go all out, you better not come home!’”

Heat Ends Losing Streak With Exclamation Point! What!

Miami: The arena was shaking, possibly from the excitement, perhaps from the anxiety or most likely a combination of every existing emotion possible. The Miami Heat had been this close before, only to send everyone away in some state of distress.

However tonight the Heat closed out a 94-88 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers and ended a five-game losing streak that threatened the franchise’s morale. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James overcame poor shooting performances to combine from 40 points and nearly 10 assists. The Heat (44-21) held the Lakers scoreless in the final 2 minutes 26 seconds. It was the Lakers’ first loss since Feb. 16, ending an eight-game winning streak. Now King James can once again get rid of the tissue box & throw on his infamous side kicks 'happy dance's'! Dance on Lebron, dance on!!!

EXCLUSIVE!! Kirstie Alley arrives to Dance Training

We have to give Kirstie Alley a big fat high five for this one! She has lost a ton of weight over the past year, as she promised she would.

Alley is getting set for the premiere of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars in two weeks, where she’ll be partnered up with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and we have to expect that she’s going to lose a ton more weight with that training schedule, so she should not be voted off early!

Chris Brown Nude Photos Leak Online: Self-portrait naked in bathroom mirror.

Oh crap! A nude photo reportedly of Chris Brown has leaked online late Friday (March 4), which shows the 21-year-old "Run It" singer & dancer standing full-frontal in bathroom mirror. Taking the pic with his iPhone and adorned in nothing more than his tattoos and newly dyed blond hair, Brown appears with a look of concentration in the photo, which first appeared on WorldStarHipHop.com.

According to the website, it was leaked by an ex-girlfriend of the notorious R&B superstar, who recently dropped the single "Bomb," featuring Wiz Khalifa, from his upcoming LP F.A.M.E.

Generally known to be vocal when scandal hits, Brown was relatively silent on Twitter after the photos appeared online, tweeting and then removing "WTF!!! Here we go!!!" on his verified account.

"Another day!! Another lesson! Another party!!" he tweeted on Saturday afternoon. "I'm so thankful to have the support of my fans with my music! Love."

The incident is the latest in a series of photo scandals for Brown, who saw more pictures of a beaten-up and bruised Rihanna released in February. Brown pleaded guilty to a felony and accepted a plea deal of five years of probation on June 22, 2009 for domestic abuse against the "Umbrella" superstar.

VANISH GRAND OPENING TONIGHT MARCH 4TH

It's about that time! The opening debut for club Vanish, and this place comes as underground as they get; hence the name 'Vanish'. I got an early sneak peak of the place weeks ago. And I wouldn't be surprised if your sassy mid-work week problems vanished away the further you walked into the club. This luxurious basement has atmosphere with the ability to make you feel sexy, at ease, or dancing.

Their modo is “Escape tonight. Forget tomorrow” and I think you just might, in their exceptionally comfortable and large booths, bright open lit up bar space, and impressive go go dancers so close you feel you can touch them ( but ya can't ha ha).

Opening night is TONIGHT, The “Grand Opening” featuring Dj Stonerokk. Stonerokk's miraculous ability to spin old school alternative hip hop with soothing funk instrumental to 90's alternative, will leave you at ease unaware of time or troubles. Only smiles, drinks, and moving to the groove all night long!

Vanish away with tomorrow! The address is 835 5th Avenue in the Gaslamp of downtown San Diego ( remember look for the club under ground!) Dress code is 'Dressy' of course. So that means no sandals and jeans! Oh yes, don't forget to schedule your bottles of champagne! For guest list considerations and VIP reservations email VIP@VANISHsd.com l www.VANISHsd.com.

Kim Kardashian's 'Jam', Turn it up or Leave the Dance Floor?

Kim K steped out of her comfort zone today. The mutli-million dollar reality star released her new single "Jam", on the Ryan Seacrest show leaving Kardashian and all around Pop culture fans in a craze, or state of confusion. Although the song was titled “Jam”, many could mistake for spam.

Personally we thought the songs slow un-tempo beat was just an opening credit, but when it got to the chorus the slow Un-Danceble beat never picked up: "Turn it up, turn it up, turn it up, turn it up, Deee-jaaaaay." Ever since House Wives of New Yorks LuAnn de Lesseps single "Money can't buy your class" did I see a reality stars dignity crash and burn so fast. Maybe these women should stay away from the recording studio and spend more time in the reality studio of their pretentious lives among places like barbados.

Ryan Secrest debuted the song afterwards stating “I think it's “fun””. Hmm ya maybe in a coma? In the interview Kim speaks about an upcoming tour. Ummm ya your kidding me right? Because Kim the last time you were on stage you were instantly given the boot by one of music's greatest dance legends 'Prince' after not dancing when he pulled you up on stage; “Get off me stage if your not dancing!"

The first voted off from Dancing with the Stars, and the first Voted of the music air waves. Kim we love ya, but we don't think we will be turning up your 'Jam' in the club anytime soon. So dancer's what do you think of Kim K's new 'jam'? Turn it up or Leave the Dance Floor?
